Rosa and Angelo’s Wedding

California Meets New Jersey

Rosa and Angelo were a super fun couple. This was a big… I mean big Italian wedding. There were upwards of 400 guests, a live band and a bridal party with 16 members… yikes. Rosie is an Italian girl from the neighborhood and Angelo is a street smart east coaster. They met through mutual friends and spent three months just talking on the phone before they actually met in person. When that time came, it was love at first site. After only six months of official dating, Angelo popped the question in Hamilton Park near the Hudson River in Jersey. Hope everyone enjoys their photos…

Katy and Dan’s Wedding

First things first… I love cars. This wedding was right up my alley. Katy and Dan met through a mutual friend when we were 16 and dated
for 7 years. Their meeting was a divine appointment from God. They were set up because of their common love for Jesus and family.
Katy says “Our favorite ways to spend time include:
-Coronado date nights
-spending time with our amazing friends (yes, we had a big wedding party!)
-enjoying a nice warm fire around Dan's family's fireplace
-going to Lake Powell with Katy's family (and listening to Eagles the
whole time)
- car shows... we both love classic cars and hot rods!”
Katy and Dan are perfect for each other. I certainly had a great time with them and their families. This was by far the nicest and most
cooperative group of 2011. Everyone was super nice. Thank you Katy and Dan for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day…

Marisa and Tony’s Wedding – Scripps Seaside Forum and Estancia Hotel & Resort Wedding

I have known Tony for over 15 years.  He worked for me when he was in High School.  I was really excited to be a part of his wedding.  Marissa is perfect for him.  They laugh at the same things and they are meant to be together.   Marissa made an absolutely stunning bride.  She got ready at one of my favorite venues to shoot… The Estancia.  The reception was at Scripps Seaside Forum.  We had an amazing sunset and the entire day was flawless thanks to Rachel Lebler with I Do… Weddings!.  We love working with her because she keeps everything running on-time and smoothly.  Thanks Rachel!.

Maria and Michael’s Wedding

Michael is an old friend.  He used to work for me when I had my retail store down off Morena Blvd.  I know him as Mikie.  Maria is a neighborhood girl.  They are both old school Italians from old fashioned Italian families.  That means lots of love and good food.  Mikie got ready at his parent’s house and Maria got ready at her parent’s house.  The actual wedding ceremony was at (no other than) Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.  We went to Balboa Park after the ceremony for some additional photos.  It was totally packed.  Back in the day there was only two places you had your wedding reception if you were Italian.  One was the El Cortez, that was before the big remodel or the other was The Bahia.  Their wedding reception was at The Bahia.  I work there several times a year.  The property is beautiful and the staff is excellent!.   I wish I could give you vendor info but Mikie never got it back to me… I still love him anyway.  Hope you enjoy their photos…

Karina and Eddie’s Wedding

Eddie and Karina were lots of fun.  It is a good thing I do lots of weddings because their entire event was in Spanish and I only speak poco.  Here is their story in Karina’s words… Eddie and I met on campus at the bookstore where we both worked.  I remember I took my mom and sister in one day and I pointed him out and told them I thought he was so cute!  Little did I know that years later we’d now be married.  Although he denies it, he was shy.  One day we were sitting with co-workers before class and I asked to see his phone and added my phone number.  I knew he was interested (it was obvious) but he was taking too long and even though I was nervous, I went for it!  He called later that night:)  I saw him the next night at Dave and Busters.  He sat next to me and we ended up leaving early to take a walk on the beach.  We talked for hours that night.  Our first official date was at Chili’s (we were broke college students) and that’s how it all got started.  A year after that he graduated before he moved back to Los Angeles and the long distance part of our relationship began.  We saw each other every weekend for seven years until we finally got married in May!  He proposed at the Santa Monica Pier in front of the roller coaster and I was completely shocked.  We plan to go back there now every year on our anniversary.
