Maria and Michael’s Wedding

Michael is an old friend.  He used to work for me when I had my retail store down off Morena Blvd.  I know him as Mikie.  Maria is a neighborhood girl.  They are both old school Italians from old fashioned Italian families.  That means lots of love and good food.  Mikie got ready at his parent’s house and Maria got ready at her parent’s house.  The actual wedding ceremony was at (no other than) Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.  We went to Balboa Park after the ceremony for some additional photos.  It was totally packed.  Back in the day there was only two places you had your wedding reception if you were Italian.  One was the El Cortez, that was before the big remodel or the other was The Bahia.  Their wedding reception was at The Bahia.  I work there several times a year.  The property is beautiful and the staff is excellent!.   I wish I could give you vendor info but Mikie never got it back to me… I still love him anyway.  Hope you enjoy their photos…

Karina and Eddie’s Wedding

Eddie and Karina were lots of fun.  It is a good thing I do lots of weddings because their entire event was in Spanish and I only speak poco.  Here is their story in Karina’s words… Eddie and I met on campus at the bookstore where we both worked.  I remember I took my mom and sister in one day and I pointed him out and told them I thought he was so cute!  Little did I know that years later we’d now be married.  Although he denies it, he was shy.  One day we were sitting with co-workers before class and I asked to see his phone and added my phone number.  I knew he was interested (it was obvious) but he was taking too long and even though I was nervous, I went for it!  He called later that night:)  I saw him the next night at Dave and Busters.  He sat next to me and we ended up leaving early to take a walk on the beach.  We talked for hours that night.  Our first official date was at Chili’s (we were broke college students) and that’s how it all got started.  A year after that he graduated before he moved back to Los Angeles and the long distance part of our relationship began.  We saw each other every weekend for seven years until we finally got married in May!  He proposed at the Santa Monica Pier in front of the roller coaster and I was completely shocked.  We plan to go back there now every year on our anniversary.

Whitney and Tyler’s Wedding

Whitney and Tyler were a fun couple.  She was a referral from Ceremony Magazine.  Whitney got ready at her family home in Poway and Tyler was at The Marriott Marina.  The ceremony was at La Jolla Presbyterian… they are super strict with photographers.  The reception was at The Fairbanks Ranch Country Club.  It was a crazy day with five locations but I always have fun no matter what.  Whitney is royalty.  Her grandfather is Sir Jack Goodall, better known as Jack in the Box.  Both families were super nice.  Her brother D.J.ed the wedding… he is amazing.   The name of his company is DJ Goods… get it… Goodall is his last name:-).   All the vendors were first class, their names and websites are below.  Enjoy.

Cristina and Joseph’s Wedding – Saint Agnes Catholic Church & Coronado Marriott

Cristina and Joe are a great couple.  I shot Cristina’s sisters wedding and some family photos.  We all know each other through the neighborhood.  It is obvious that Joseph worships the ground Cristina walks on.  I really enjoyed the time we spent together.  Cristina got ready at her mothers home in Point Loma and Joe got ready at their condo near the church.  They were married at Saint Agnes Catholic.   Their reception was at The Coronado Marriott.  I work there quite often.  The venue is amazing, the food is fantastic and the staff is excellent… is that enough adjectives for you:-).  All the vendors were top notch.  There is a list of these qualified wedding professionals below.  Enjoy!
